It’s All About Images!

Look at the image above.

I bet ½ the reason you’re still reading this article is because you saw the image and it drove your curiosity.

That’s the power of graphics and design.

One image can represent your entire company and brand, and that same image can be the determining factor if a person stays to learn more or leaves your site entirely.

I don’t think anyone doubts the power of graphics and design. But here’s the problem: those are two things that plague most marketers when they first get started online.

They even plague veteran marketers who’ve been online for years… in fact, those two things consistently plague ME!

Why? Because graphics and design requires a unique skill set and artistic vision that many people don’t have.

Or even if they do have they eye for it, they don’t have the ability to translate their vision to a computer.

Look – we work hard on the elements of our business. From the products or services we offer, to the emails we write, even filming the perfect videos… but when it comes to design, it’s one of the few things we often need someone to help us with.

So, today, I’m going to talk about creating graphics that will IMPRESS your visitors and followers. AND how you can create them on the fly.

The Perfect Image

First, let’s talk about a “perfect” image.

Let’s take the image on the header of this post for example:

Right off the bat, it does a few things:

  1. Grabs your attention with vibrant colors.
  2. Piques your curiosity with the text “It’s all about Images!”
  3. Represents us as a company with clean aesthetics and clear vision.
  4. Displays relevance to the topic.

Now chances are, these items may not “pop” out at you, but it’s important that you recognize that they are important characteristics of a great image, especially in marketing.

Social Media

Now, jumping over to social media – where images are used quite heavily – let’s start off with one the fastest growing platforms: Instagram.

The entire focus is based on images and videos. Users scroll on their phones or computers to look at their “feed.”

And when an image grabs their attention, they stop to check THAT one image out.

Images are quickly becoming an essential when it comes to social media, no matter which platform you’re in…Instagram, Facebook, Pintrest, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+, or even YouTube – images are the first thing that GRAB everyone’s attention.

Now let’s take it one step further:

Advertising + Images

My favorite advertising platform is Facebook.

Let’s look at two ads:

Ad 1

Ad 2

These two ads are VERY different.

Ad 1 shows professionalism. It gives you a bright red line on the bottom that brands the company, and shares EXACTLY why you need to click on the ad.

Ad 2 is vague. It shows some guy jetting away with papers flying. You have no idea what it is nor does it brand or represent the company at any level.

Question for you is, as you see these two ads, which one would you be more likely to click?

The answer is Ad 1.

Ad 1 is clear, explains what the product is, what it does, and why you need it. Plus, branding gives consumer confidence, which will lead to more sales and clicks.

So what’s the entire point of this article?

It started off for me 24+ months ago…

There’s a product we offer at Snaptactix called Pixel Studio FX that builds high converting and professional eCovers in minutes.

And though I love the product and what it can do, I quickly recognized that it needed to be taken one step further.

You see, when we first created Pixel Studio FX, it was created as a necessity in our company. And when we released it to the world, over 12,000 people rushed in to get a copy and many still continue to use it in their businesses daily.

Now – I’m not here to talk about Pixel Studio FX – but just to give you a baseline of how it all started. Because right after the success of Pixel Studio FX, I recognized another void in my tool set when it comes to running my business: graphics and images.

Not just any graphic or image, but more specifically social media and advertising graphics.

These were images we needed on a daily basis. And unless you have a “big budget” or the ability to hire someone, it is expensive to have each design outsourced.

Plus, I wanted images that would convert to clicks which, in turn, would mean more leads and sales.

And that is why I set out to create Social Studio FX.

Social Studio FX does EXACTLY what I needed for my business. It allows anyone on our team – regardless of design or tech skills – to create high converting, professional images for our social media and advertising.

And after months of beta testing, we just released Social Studio FX to the public!

Now the entire point of this article is simple: I want to educate you about the importance of graphics and design, share the story behind the evolution of this new tool AND invite you to the release of Social Studio FX.

I also want to make sure you understand why you need Social Studio FX in your tool kit arsenal.

Even if you don’t think you need a tool for your images, because you’re a graphic artist or have someone who creates your images, I urge you to take a second to check out what we’re offering.

Why? Because these are proven templates, designed with two things in mind:

  1. Conversions – Getting you more clicks, more leads, and more sales.
  2. Professionalism – Helping you represent your company and product/services.

Hi Jimmy,
I post often on Twitter and I know by experience how hard it is to find the appropriate picture. There are tools out there but it requires time and skills which I don’t have. I’m sure your product will be very useful especially when promoting my new product! Another great idea from you… Thank You!

For Me, the biggest takeaway would be that (the right!) picture in your ads, stirs up emotions. And emotions SELL! So utilizing really awesome Graphics attracts attention and creates Clicks!

Images can make or break a persons attention in this digital age. They also represent us as a business. Thank you for posting this.

My takeaway: Compelling and relevant images that are professionally done can make your business or break it if these important elements are missing. People are more likely to retain a relevant image than text, and results in more conversions. Having software that creates these images hassle-free like Social Studio FX is a godsend. Visual marketing is king in 2017!

Attention grabbing, yet relevant images. Yes…create the curiosity, without being obscure. Love it.

That’s the whole point of the software – not to save as PSD’s but to do the work inside the software 🙂
